BLUE ANT INTERNATIONAL UNVEILS 60+ HOURS OF NEW FACTUAL PROGRAMMING

The refreshed slate includes new content from top tier producers around the world, including factual production house, NHNZ.

Blue Ant International unveils a new slate for this year that includes over 60 hours of new premium content across its tent-pole categories including high-impact documentary series, factual entertainment and specialist factual. The company also announces that it has taken over distribution activity for 70+ hours of premium, blue-chip programming from global natural history and factual production house, NHNZ.

NHNZ CATALOGUE

The NHNZ agreement significantly bolsters Blue Ant International’s catalog of specialist factual content with over 70 titles including: "Extreme Animals" (4x60’; HD), a series that takes a look at the most extreme personalities and behaviors in the animal kingdom; "Inside the Pack" (1x60’; HD) an inside look at the survival skills and power struggles within wild animal packs; "Siberia’s Wild Year" (1x60' HD), which reveals the challenges animals face in Siberia’s unrelenting winter; "China From Above" Seasons 1 & 2 (4x60'; HD | 2x60' 4K & HD), which takes viewers on an exploration of China as never seen before; "World’s Deadliest" Seasons 1 & 2 (7 x 60; HD) reveals the struggle that species face every day just to survive; "Wild Peru: Andes Battleground" (2x60'; HD) which explores the fascinating animals that live in the country’s diverse habitats; and "Mexico Untamed" (3x60'; HD) a series that follows the extreme measures animals go to survive in the rugged landscapes of Mexico.

FACTUAL SERIES

Additional specialist factual series Blue Ant International is debuting this spring include: "Pridelands: Wilderness Reborn" (1x60’; 4K & HDR; Alleycats), which follows a family as they transform a derelict farm in South Africa into a sanctuary; "Amazing Animal Friends" (6x60’; 4K & HDR; Oxford Scientific Films), a heart-warming look at unlikely animal friendships like a rhino and a lamb and an elephant who thinks she’s a buffalo; "Malawi Wildlife Rescue" (6x60’; 4K & HDR; Icon Films) a look inside the country’s only wildlife rescue center that cares for injured and abandoned animals until they are ready to be released back into the wild; and a tenth season of the beloved "Hope For Wildlife" (10x 60’; 4K & HDR; Arcadia), featuring ten new episodes that follow wildlife advocate Hope Swinimer and her staff who rescue, rehabilitate and release thousands of animals each year.

DOCUMENTARIES

New high-impact documentary series include the highly anticipated second season of "Prison" (3x60’; HD; Spring Films), which won Best Documentary Series at the Grierson Awards, the Royal Television Society Awards, and the Broadcast Awards and also received a 2019 BAFTA nomination for Best Factual Series. The second season shifts its focus from a men’s UK-based facility to HMP Foston Hall, a women’s prison, also in the UK. Season 2 highlights the unique challenges incarcerated women face. Also joining this category is "Hate Crime: Uncensored" (1x60’; HD; Zeppelin Films) is a one-hour documentary revealing disturbing accounts of religious and racist hate crimes.
