Boat Rocker names Todd Lubin as President of Boat Rocker Studios, Unscripted

Independent, integrated global entertainment company Boat Rocker announced the appointment of veteran unscripted producer Todd Lubin as President of Boat Rocker Studios, Unscripted, effective immediately. In his new role, Lubin will lead the company’s creative unscripted efforts, including series and documentaries, overseeing Boat Rocker’s Matador Content, Maven, and Proper Television production shingles.

Formerly President and Co-Founder of Boat Rocker-owned Matador Content, Lubin takes over from Jay Peterson, who has decided to step down from the role. Peterson will remain with Boat Rocker as an executive producer for several months, to support the transition to Lubin and delivery of current projects.

David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, Co-Executive Chairmen of Boat Rocker Media and Co-Chairmen of Boat Rocker Studios, said: “Todd is already an established creative leader within the Boat Rocker unscripted division. Lubin and Peterson co-founded Matador Content in 2013. The company was acquired by Boat Rocker in 2018 and has been behind a wide range of high-profile Boat Rocker unscripted content, including “Lip Sync Battle” (Paramount+), “Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields” (Hulu), “Downey’s Dream Cars” (Max), and “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry” (Apple TV+).
