CINEFLIX PRODUCTION APPOINTS DAVID CASEY AS HEAD OF CURRENT IN THE US

With more than 15 ears of producing, directing, and show-runner experience, Casey will directing company creatives and their factual slate of new and returning series. He will also lead the division's team of executive producers.

Cineflix Productions announced that David Casey has joined the company as Head of Current. “With returning brands, a great development slate, and an impressive production infrastructure, I’m thrilled to be joining J.C. and the dynamic team at Cineflix Productions," Casey said. "I share their commitment to telling stories that change lives, minds, and the landscape of the entire industry worldwide for generations to come, both on-screen and behind it."

Casey will be responsible for overseeing the creative department for Cineflix Productions’ factual slate of new and returning series, as well as leading the division’s team of executive producers. He will communicate directly with network executives, along with internal production administration, post-production, and business and legal affairs teams. One he commences his duties, he will report to J.C. Mills, President, and Commercial Director, Cineflix Productions.

He comes to Cineflix as an award-winning film and TV executive, with more than 15 years of experience under his belt, across various roles including executive producer, director, and showrunner. He previously worked as Executive Producer of Television and Digital Media at Coyote Peterson’s Wilderness Productions, where he contributed to the company’s content development initiatives and digital growth. Casey was also Vice President of Production at ITVS, where he directed the production for all broadcast and digital projects. His work includes "Coyote Peterson: Brave the Wild," "Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival," "Ocean Warriors" and others. 

The production expert has also produced on several documentaries, including Participant Media VR endeavors Melting Ice and This is Climate Change, and served as the Greenland segment producer of Vice President Al Gore’s "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power." He was also a creative director on History Channel’s "Pawn Stars," its spin-off "Cajun Pawn Stars," and Jane Root and Nutopia’s "America: The Story of US."
