Television producers Dana Eden and Shula Spiegel of Donna & Shula Productions, credited with executively producing Apple TV+’s "Tehran," have teamed up with director Daniel Syrkin to launch a joint production company. Tel Aviv-based company, Danush Studios is set to develop and produce television series for the international market, with a specific target on the US and Europe.

“After collaborating successfully for the last 20 years over many projects, we’re taking the next step to formally join forces with this new company that will have our collective creative energy and expertise in developing and producing a wide range of inspiring and entertaining television series for global audiences,” said Eden and Spiegel in a joint statement.

Tel Aviv-based Danush Studios will develop and produce television series for the international market with a focus on the US and Europe. Donna & Shula Productions will continue to run separately under the same leadership, the producers said. Donna & Shula Productions and Syrkin are repped by CAA and Anonymous Content. Eden, Spiegel and Syrkin most recently collaborated on Apple TV+ drama Tehran, for which Donna and Shula Productions is an executive producer.

Eden and Syrkin are co-creators of the show with Syrkin serving as director of the overall series. The second season of "Tehran" premiered in May, shortly after its first season won the 2021 International Emmy Award for best drama series. It was the first international series purchased and produced by Apple TV+.

“With the international production expertise that we’ve gained, we will continue to develop the most interesting stories and talents from Israel and worldwide, and bring them to international audiences,” added Syrkin.
