Eccho Rights have licensed the Turkish drama "Kurt Seyit & Sura" to Mediaset in Italy. Mediaset has confirmed that "Kurt Seyit & Sura" will air on their flagship linear channel Canale 5, premiering on the 9th of June. “Italy was one of the first Western European territories to embrace drama from Turkey, so we are delighted to once more be bringing top Turkish content to Mediaset for their audiences," Melis Hamamcioglu, Director of Digital Media Acquisition & Content Sales at Eccho Rights said.

A classic Turkish drama from producers Ay Yapim, "Kurt Seyit & Sura" stars Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Farah Zeynep Abdullah in the lead roles. The deal between Eccho Rights and Mediaset Italy follows similar agreements for Ay Yapim’s "Brave and Beautiful," OGM’s "My Home My Destiny," as well as Sürec Film "Sisterhood and Cherry Season."

"Kurt Seyit & Sura," tells the story of the dashing, womanizing Lieutenant Kurt Seyit - the first son of a rich Crimean landowner of Turkish origin, who falls in love with Sura, the beautiful daughter of a noble Russian family. But Seyit's father has always been convinced his son should marry a Turkish girl and continue their line. Against the wishes of their families, the lovers flee together and make a dangerous journey across frozen wastelands to seek sanctuary in Istanbul during the last days of the Ottoman Empire, where they must fight for their love against the forces of family, the expectations of society, and the events of history.
