Escapade Media welcomes James Braham to its team as Escapade’s new consultant for UK, Ireland, Germany and selected US clients. Upon assuming his new position, he will replace Jessica Stonehouse, who confirmed her departure last month.“Escapade is extremely excited to be working with James across these territories and  having his expertise  on board," Managing Director Natalie Lawley said. "Escapade has grown so much over the years and with our development slate gaining success, James ‘s expertise is a huge asset."

Braham was initially reccomended for the role because of his expertise and wealth of experience and contacts in all aspects of global sales, which compliments Escapade’s ever-growing development slate. With nearly three decades of TV content distribution experience, the expert has contributed to sales in Asia at Pearson Television International, and is credited with placing all Baywatch seasons with Japan’s Super Channel.

He also joined Southern Star International in 2005, where he oversaw Eastern Europe sales,  negotiated two format deals for "The Block," and later added the Nordics to his role.  At Endemol, James had sales responsibility for Eastern Europe and later in German Speaking Europe.  Notable achievements were a volume deal with new channel Viacom Blink in Poland, and in Germany preselling Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell to TMG and as a key-player on the co-production deal with The Fall 3 to ZDFE.

At Endemol Shine International, he led UK and Ireland sales, where his highlights included placing the premiere rights in both territories for DirecTV’s Kingdom on Virgin XL and a multi-year deal for the live transmission rights of Big Brother UK to Virgin Media Ireland. As a sales consultant Braham has licensed content for independent producers (including the feature documentary City of Queens, produced by Great Guns to Peacock in the USA and Paramount 10 Play Australia) as well as developing drama series, movies and factual entertainment content, working with co-production partners and sourcing finance.  “I am delighted to work with Natalie and her team, with Escapade’s buzzing slate of content to share with viewers across the diverse and dynamic regions I will represent," Braham said about the appointment.
