Federation’s event series “Bardot” keeps on seducing audiences as well as French and international buyers with great success on Netflix and major sales in many territories. Focused on the youth years of French star Brigitte Bardot, the series was created and directed by Danièle and Christopher Thompson, and produced by Pascal Breton and Judith Rochelois for France Televisions and Mediaset. Rising actress Julia de Nunez takes the role of Brigitte Bardot.

The series was launched on Netflix on August 23. Less than one week into its run on Netflix France, Benelux, Germany and Switzerland et Germany, “Bardot” has shot up to Netflix’s top 10 in these countries: #3 most viewed series in France and Belgium, #4 in Luxemburg, and #6 in Switzerland and The Netherlands. This new success follows the impressive performance of the show on France 2 last May: with an average of 3.2 million viewers per episode at D+28, the series particularly stood up with more than 400.000 viewers in catch-up viewing, attracting a younger audience.

Praised by the French and international press, “Bardot” is now making its way to new territories. In Europe, the series was recently sold to AMC Iberia in Spain, TVP in Poland, Nova in Greece, MTVA in Hungary, RTVS in Slovaquia, LTV and Tet+ in Latvia, ERR in Estonia, and Finch Media, which distributes it in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia.

These sales adds up to those already announced: Netflix in France, Germany, Benelux and Switzerland, Turkey (Turkcell), Sweden (SVT), Finland (YLE), Norway (NRK), Portugal (NRK), Czech Republic (Czech TB), and Canada (CBC + Radio Canada).
