FilmSharks closes several deals for "Nine Queens" remastered version

The Argentinian movie has been sold to Sony Pictures Classic for North America, Curzon for the UK, Warmer Media for Easter Europe and A Contracorriente films for Spain.

FilmSharks as locked the brand-new deals of the remastered version in 4k of Spanish language thriller "Nine Queens" by Fabian Bielinsky, starring Ricardo Darin (The Secret in Their Eyes), Gaston Pauls (Blessed by Fire) and Leticia Bredice ("El Dia que Me Amen").
Sony Pictures Classic just renewed the agreement for the USA (North America) after the 4K US Premiere at Fantastic fest. On the other hand, UK has been locked with Curzon, Easter Europe with Warmer Media and Spain with A Contracorriente films.

Already announced deals with TWDC's Star Distribution and Disney+ for Latin America, and France with Eurozoom, which was closed prior to the Cannes Classics premiere at the Cannes.

FilmSharks is in discussions with Italy, German Speaking, Indonesia, Japan and Korea for the film's distribution, and Spanish language Remake/Format for a TV series is also being discussed.

Guido Rud and Matias Fontenla said: "There is a new wave of remastered top tier classics that the market is eager to re-release: ‘Nine Queens’, ‘Son of The Bride’, ‘Avellaneda's Moon’, ‘The Aura’, among other gems are creating a very strong deal making for our label".

"Nine Queens" ("Nueve Reinas) is an Argentinian thriller that tells the story of Juan and Marcos, two small-time swindlers, one a young man and the other a veteran in the art of swindling, who happen to get involved in an affair that could make them millionaires: they have less than a day to pull off a scam that can't fail.
