FilmSharks just picked up the international sales for "The Woman in the Line" ("La Mujer de la Fila"), from master director Benjamin Avila ("Infancia Clandestina"), and produced by Mostra ("La Virgen De La Tosquera"), and Buffalo Films ("La Ira De Dios").

The dramatic thriller, star Natalia Oreiro ("Infancia Clandestina") and Alberto Ammann ("Upon Entry"), is inspired on true story worldwide known by a TED Talk where woman united achieved a very important social goal toward their rights to visit relatives in jail/prison.

Based on true events (TED Talk case) "The Woman in the Line" is set in the aftermath of Argentina’s 2001 mega-crisis, Andrea, a hard-working, middle-class widow, receives the unexpected news that her teenage son has been imprisoned. To see him, she must navigate the prison system for the first time. Thrust into a new and harsh reality, she encounters legal bureaucracy and meets other "women in line" facing the same struggles. As Andrea tries to piece together this complex life-puzzle, an inspiring transformation begins to unfold.
