Naked, a Fremantle company,  has announced a new documentary series exploring human sexuality, hosted and co-created by Cara Delevingne. The series has been jointly commissioned by Hulu and BBC Three and is currently in production. Global rights for the series will be handled by Fremantle.

"Planet Sex" [w/t] is an epic six-part documentary series in which actress, activist, model, author, and LGBTQ+ advocate Cara Delevingne explores the biggest questions in human sexuality. The series will explore and address key questions related to genders, sexual orientation, relationships, the popularity of porn, and more.

Cara Delevingne says: “As someone who struggled for years to understand my sexual identity, I am so excited to be partnering with Hulu, Naked, BBC Three and Fremantle to be making a series that could change the views of so many people through honest and personal conversations. I can only imagine what having a series like this would have meant to the 14-year-old me who struggled to understand feelings that were seen as non-conventional or different. If our series helps one young person have an easier conversation with their parents, we will have achieved one of our many goals in making this series. “

Simon Andreae, CEO of Fremantle UK, founder of Naked and Executive Producer of Planet Sex, commented: “Cara is an incredibly powerful voice within the LGBTQI+ community, who is well-positioned to be able to confront and question some of sex and gender’s most enduring and important mysteries. It’s a privilege to be working with her and bringing her vision to life with the teams at Naked and Fremantle, and we can’t wait for audiences on Hulu and BBC Three to see it.”

Belisa Balaban, Vice President of Documentaries at Hulu commented: "'Planet Sex' is an intimate and inclusive portrayal of human sexuality showcasing extraordinary people in a highly authentic way, which is exactly the kind of relevant and thought-provoking content Hulu strives to bring our viewers. Cara is a unique talent and passionate advocate, and her willingness to offer the raw truth of her personal experiences in this series will push the boundaries on the world’s view of sex, gender, and our community beliefs.”

Jack Bootle, BBC Head of Commissioning Science and Natural History, said: "We’re in the middle of a new sexual revolution, in which the old rules of gender and sexuality are being rewritten in ways that some find liberating and others confusing. Cara’s charisma, curiosity, and lived experience make her the perfect guide to a subject that can be controversial but is always fascinating."
