Fuse Media expands distribution on DirecTV with launch of two FAST channels

Agreement features First Distribution deal for "Somos Novelas", the fast channel featuring novelas from around the globe El Rey Rebel posts strongest month to date ahead of launch. Latinos currently make up nearly 20% of the U.S. population and possess a purchasing power of $3.4 trillion.

Fuse Media, the Latino-owned global leader in inclusive entertainment, has expanded its agreement with DIRECTV to include carriage of two of the company’s diverse-focused FAST channels, Somos Novelas and El Rey Rebel. The launch marks the debut of Somos Novelas, the Spanish-language channel featuring novelas from around the world, and comes as El Rey Rebel posts its strongest month in viewership to date.

With this launch on DIRECTV, Fuse Media has assembled the largest Latino-focused bundle in FAST with offerings in both English and Spanish to answer Latinos’ growing appetite for programming that reflects their culture. In fact, a recent study by McKinsey & Company found Latino streaming viewership doubles when Latinos are represented on-screen or behind the camera.

Somos Novelas features novelas from around the world and is part of the Fuse Media suite of Latino-focused programming, which includes Latino Vibes and El Rey Rebel. El Rey Rebel sets your rebellious, independent spirit on fire with the raw action, fearless fun and pure mayhem of Kung Fu classics, martial arts, grindhouse, gritty crime, and extreme sports.
