Gaumont to present Paul Mccartney’s "High In The Clouds" at AFM Market

Gaumont is launching presales at the upcoming AFM market, where a reel including some music demos from Paul McCartney will be revealed. “We are thrilled to bring the vision of Paul McCartney to the big screen," CEO of Gaumont Sidonie Dumas said. "This is a great opportunity for Gaumont, our animation team and independent distributors to work on a timeless animated movie for the whole family.”

The animated film is produced by Paul McCartney on behalf of MPL Communications, Robert Shaye on behalf of Unique Features and by Sidonie Dumas, Christophe Riandee, Nicolas Atlan and Terry Kalagian for Gaumont. The adaptation of the adventure is directed by Toby Genkel on behalf of The Amazing Maurice from a screenplay by Jon Croker with Designs by Patrick Hanenberger.

After captivating generations and sparking a musical revolution, Paul McCartney is said to bring a timeless 3D animated film, about the power of family and freedom of expression through music, set in a world of animals. The former Beatle is the writer and composer of the original soundtrack and also serves as a producer of the animated film.  After he accidentally sparked a revolution against Gretsch, the bossy diva-owl who has banned all music from his town, a teenage squirrel named Wirral embarks on an extraordinary journey to set music free. The movie is a loose adaptation of the children’s adventure book by Paul McCartney, Geoff Dunbar and Phlip Ardagh, "High in The Clouds."
