Global Agency announced the success of its Turkish mystical crime series “Aleph” in Israel. The first run of the show was aired on Achla TV in October, which drove to such a huge success that now the channel is planning to air the second run in November.
This eight-part mystical crime series has also delivered a record-high performance on FX and BluTV. Starring Kenan Imirzalioglu, Ahmet Mumtaz Taylan and Melisa Sozen, “Aleph” is directed by the award-winning director Emin Alper, and produced by May Productions.
The show revolves around two detectives as they investigate a set of murders in Istanbul. Detectives Kemal and Settar pursue a dervish serial killer who sets a series of mysterious clues, launching them on a quest that will make them confront their pasts in a series enriched with traces of Ottoman and Islamic history.
“‘Aleph’ is a great option for mystical crime series lovers. It is one of the productions that reached many viewers during the quarantine. The quality of the acting, directing, technical elements and cinematography is admirable. We look forward to seeing ‘Aleph’ in many more channels across the world,” said Izzet Pinto, Founder and CEO of Global Agency.
“We are delighted with the success of the new series. This unusual genre is new to our viewers, who are used to watching long series on a daily basis, so it meant a change in their viewing habits. On another point, Kenan Imirzalioglu is very known and beloved, so our viewers looked forward to watching the series,” an Achla TV’s spokeperson added.
