Globo has extended the reach of its hit telenovela “Anything Goes” with its first international launch in Uruguay, through a long-standing partnership with Teledoce. The debut marks a strategic expansion in Latin America for the broadcaster, as the show enters its final stretch in Brazil. On its premiere in Uruguay, “Anything Goes” led its time slot among the key commercial audience aged 18 to 44, underscoring its cross-border appeal.

Teledoce, one of Uruguay’s leading free-to-air broadcasters, has been a Globo partner for over 40 years. Previous titles such as “Pantanal,” “Never Give Up,” “Hidden Truths,” and “Land of Desire” have already reached Uruguayan audiences through this collaboration. Pablo Ghiglione, Globo’s Head of International Sales & Co-Productions – Americas & APAC, commented, “We’re happy to bring this story to new audiences in Latin America. Teledoce is one of our oldest partners, which shows a genuine connection between Uruguayan viewers and our content. I’m sure they’ll embrace ‘Anything Goes’ with the same enthusiasm as the Brazilian audience.”

In Brazil, “Anything Goes” airs in Globo’s prime time slot and is also available on its streaming platform, Globoplay. Since its premiere, the show has reached over 143 million viewers in Brazil, becoming the most-watched telenovela in Globoplay’s history. The rebooted version has also sparked widespread engagement online, with more than two million social media mentions and the hashtag #ValeTudo trending in Brazil for 200 hours across its 100-episode run.

The production has delivered commercial success as well, becoming Globo’s highest-grossing prime time show in Brazil, with 16 brands integrated across 76 branded content placements.

Released as part of TV Globo’s 60th anniversary programming, this new adaptation reimagines the original 1988 classic created by Gilberto Braga, Aguinaldo Silva, and Leonor Bassères. The 2025 version is written by Manuela Dias (“A Mother’s Love,” “Justice”) and directed by Paulo Silvestrini (“Brazil Avenue”), maintaining the story’s core themes of ambition, ethics, and the ideological divide between a mother and daughter.

With its performance in Uruguay and record-setting run in Brazil, “Anything Goes” is shaping up to be a global tentpole in Globo’s international drama slate.
