MIPTV 2023: Armoza Formats to launch "Family Ties or Lies"

Armoza Formats confirmed plans to globally launch the new reality competition "Family Ties or Lies" as part of its MIPTV slate. "’Family Ties or Lies‘ brings to the screens one of the most dynamic relationships – that of siblings – which often isn’t given the screen time it deserves," Adva Avichzer, Head of Sales at Armoza Formats said. From Armoza Formats and Studio BRB, "Family Ties or Lies" was the winning format at Armoza’s annual pitch competition, Formagination, in 2022 from Canadian-production company Studio BRB. The new format combines the most attractive aspects of reality competitions and social experiments into a guessing game.

In the reality competition, 10 pairs of siblings from all ages and backgrounds live together in a holiday campground and complete challenges to win big money. Some of the pairs are total strangers, with completely fake family history! Hosted by a pair of celebrity siblings, the participants will compete in crazy challenges that will put their relationship to the test. In the finale, one pair will put to the test if they can tell the family ties from the lies in order to win the prize.
