Global content producer and distributor Keshet International is launching linear pre-sales for the eight-part contemporary thriller “Suspicion,” starring Academy Award-nominated actress Uma Thurman, at MIPTV. Keshet UK’s high-octane remake of Keshet Broadcasting’s award-winning “False Flag” will headline Keshet International’s new Spring 2023 slate of drama, formats, and factual tape being unveiled in Cannes.
In the story, when the son of a prominent American businesswoman is kidnapped from a New York hotel, the eye of suspicion quickly falls on five seemingly ordinary British citizens. As they find themselves in a trans-Atlantic game of cat-and-mouse to evade the combined forces of the National Crime Agency and the FBI, it becomes apparent that not everyone can be trusted.
Keshet UK’s political thriller “Suspicion” was originally commissioned by Apple TV+. Directed by Chris Long, the show stars an ensemble cast that features Kunal Nayyar, Noah Emmerich, Georgina Campbell, Elyes Gabel, Elizabeth Henstridge, Tom Rhys-Harries, and Angel Coulby, alongside Uma Thurman.
“We are thrilled to have ‘Suspicion’ headlining our drama slate this MIPTV as we launch pre-sales for the linear TV rights for the third quarter of this year. It is the perfect foil to our very intimate surrogacy drama ‘A Body that Works,’ for which Rotem Sela and Gal Malka both won the Best Actress Awards at Series Mania, and our new raft of factual content and formats,” said Kelly Wright, Managing Director of Distribution at Keshet International.
