Newen Connect recently hired former ITV Studios and BBC Studios Executive Josephine Fontaine to handle acquisitions across English-speaking territories (UK, North America, Australia. “I am excited to join Newen Connect as it continues its ambitious growth strategy, and to work with such an esteemed and delightful team," Joséphine Fontaine said.
Reporting to Newen Connect’s EVP Acquisitions and International co-productions Karine Atlan, Fontaine will serve as the main contact for Inhouse Newen Studios UK producers and will help secure new partnerships with English-speaking 1/3 party producers to strengthen our English language slate."I look forward to strengthening Newen Connect’s relationships with internal and third-party producers and to scouting impactful and entertaining stories for our buyers," Fontaine said.
Her new role will help facilitate access and contribute to develop TV shows and support creative financing concepts with UK commissioners. “I am delighted to welcome Josephine to the Newen Connect acquisitions team in London," Atlan said. "Her expertise in both acquisitions and sales will be a real asset in developing our presence in English speaking countries.”
Before accepting her role with Newen, Fontaine served as Senior Global Content Executive - Scripted at ITV Studios, where she managed one-on-one relationships with assigned production companies on behalf of ITV Studios, including UK and international based producers such as Mammoth Screen, Tall Story Pictures, Cattleya, and Tetra Media. Before that, she was Account Executive – Italy, Scripted & Kids at BBC Studios.
