Newen Connect has won the Unifrance Fiction Export award 2022 for the series “Women at War”. This is the third consecutive year that Newen Connect won the prize (after the Export prize 2021 for “HIP” and the Export prize 2020 with “Candice Renoir”).

Produced by QUAD Drama and AT-Production, the series is launched last September by the channel TF1 which is also coproducer on the project. With an average of 6 million viewers for the 8 episodes, the program is then exported internationally via the SVOD platform Netflix on 214 territories.

"Women at War" follows the unique destinies of four heroines in the context of the First World War. Played by Audrey Fleurot, Julie de Bona, Camille Lou and Sofia Essaïdi, they will have to fight amidst the chaos, while France is the theater of the worst conflicts.

Rodolphe Buet, CEO of Newen Connect: "After the success of 'Candice Renoir' and 'HIP 'on linear channels, the international distribution of the series ‘Women at War’ on Netflix underlines the great work of our teams in finding the best partners to promote French programs around the world. We are very pleased with this third Export Prize for Fiction awarded by Unifrance to Newen Connect, to the producer Iris Bucher and to the talents she has gathered. It is a strong message to Newen Studios' partners of our desire to bring ambitious programs to the widest possible audience.”

Every year, the Unifrance ceremony rewards the best-selling French audiovisual programs in the world in order to highlight the professionalism and know-how of distribution companies as well as the attractiveness of French creation abroad.
