NICELY ENTERTAINMENT ADDS SCOTT KIRKPATRICK TO ITS TEAM

Kirkpatrick will assist with global digital strategy and co-productions. In addition to the appointment, the company is set to debut four original TV movie titles at this year’s virtual MIPTV 2021.

Nicely Entertainment has named Scott Kirkpatrick Executive Vice President of Distribution and Co-Productions. “I’m delighted that Scott and I will be working together again, he’s a talented executive with deep industry experience and will be invaluable as we continue to grow the company,” said Vanessa Shapiro, Nicely Entertainment’s CEO.  

Kirkpatrick joins the newly launched company after leaving NENT Studios in the UK, where he served as Senior Vice President of North American sales, co-production and global digital strategy"I'm thrilled to be joining Nicely Entertainment," Kirkpatrick added. "Vanessa is an extraordinary businesswoman and has an incredible pulse on the industry. I'm very much looking forward to seeing Nicely continue its strong growth curve and cannot wait to dive into brokering deals on her new slate of films and television co-productions."

His arrival comes shortly before the company presents four original titles at this year's MIPTV 2021, including two holiday movies, and two romances, "Christmas in Crumbs," starring Rekha Sharma, and Dion Johnstone, and "Wedding Cake Dreams," starring Donna Benedicto and Markian Tarasiuk.  Both movies are co-produced with BRB Studios. Also being launched at MIPTV are "A Christmas Wish in Hudson," starring Alex Rinehart and the romance movie "10 Steps to Love," starring Ella Cannon, and Britton Web. Both films are co-produced with Sappy Films.

Established a year ago, Nicely Entertainment co-produced and released a total of seven movies in 2020, with an additional twelve being released this year. The company is also producing drama series and YA content with five  new series in different stages of development and production, including Netflix Original Series Dive Club (12x22’), commissioned by Network 10, Australia, and co-produced with The Steve Jaggi Company. The most recent project to go into development is the kids and family series "Folktellers" with Peter Mohan attached as showrunner and based on the books series "Folktellers: The Excerpts from an Unknown Guidebook Series."
