Nicely Entertainment announced the 18 new releases it plans to present at this year's Mipcom. “As a company, we’re thrilled to be producing an average of 20 original films per year," Nicely’s CEO and Founder Vanessa Shapiro said. "This year, we’ve hit 25 originals. Diversifying our portfolio has always been part of our long-term growth strategy and we are so excited by how the film plays and cannot wait to release it in the US.”

The production company's catalog includes its first ever disaster film, “Super Icyclone” and the Denise Richards led Holiday movie “A Christmas Frequency." Known as the leader in ‘feel-good’ TV movie entertainment—primarily producing up-lifting female driven Romance titles and Christmas films. “Super Icyclone” was pre-sold to Germany, Italy and Canada. The film follows climatologist Jill Sanders as she receives weather data indicating the formation of an unimaginably powerful storm system. However, she brushes off the warnings as a= miscalculation. But when as a series of bizarre field reports—and tragic storm related deaths—start mounting in real time, Jill realizes her small town is about to be ground zero for a massively destructive ice-hurling tornado.

“Super Icyclone” will be one of 18 brand new original TV movies Nicely will offer at the conference. Other headline titles include the Denise Richards-led Holiday Romance “A Christmas Frequency," which the company secured with Hulu for a 2023 US release as well as “One Perfect Match” which premiered earlier this year on Great American Family and stars Merritt Patterson & Joshua Sasse. Other notable mentions include the Tatyana Ali led “The Holiday Proposal Plan,” which is set for a Lifetime premier as well as Nicely’s first ever cozy-mystery “The Abigail Mysteries."

On the sales side, Nicely heads to the market after securing a series of international deals. Scott Kirkpatrick, Nicely’s Executive VP of Distribution and Co-Productions secured “A Christmas Frequency” and “Reporting for Christmas” with Hulu, as well as a package of Christmas titles with Australia’s Foxtel. Rachel Siegenthaler, Nicely’s VP of International Sales (based in Paris), has brokered “Reporting for Christmas” with UK’s ITV and France’s NRJ12 as well as the “The Art of Christmas” with Switzerland’s RTS and Belgium’s AB3. Other sales includes Nicely’s romance films Romance at the Vineyard and Romance in Hawaii with France’s M6, Czech Republic’s FTV Prima, MENA’s Italia Film, Poland’s BB Media and Belgium’s RTL.
