Nicely Entertainment has begun principal photography on the holiday movie, "A Christmas Frequency," starring Denise Richards. The announcement today was made by Nicely’s CEO Vanessa Shapiro.“We’re delighted to be working with Denise Richards who is a star across the globe,” Shapiro said.  “We fell in love with the script from Ansley last year and Denise was the perfect Brooke for us. Our holiday movies are broadcast around the world on leading channels, and we can’t wait to share A Christmas Frequency with a Holiday 2023 release.”

"A Christmas Frequency" is the first co-production between Dawn’s Light Media and Nicely Entertainment. The producers working on the project are Richard Switzer in his third collaboration with Denise Richards, and Nicely’s Head of Production Dave Hickey with  Shapiro, Ian Niles and Jason Cherubini serving as Executive Producers. The title stars Richards, who next stars in the upcoming drama series "Paper Empire," and features cast members, such as Robert Davi, Kelsey Grammer and Anne Archer, as well as Ansley Gordon, Johnathan Stoddard, and James Hyde.“I enjoyed Ansley’s script and I look forward to acting alongside her, Jonathan, and James in this fun romantic comedy that is sure to delight audiences everywhere,” Richards said. “It’s a joy to get to work with Richard Switzer again. He’s achieved so much in such a short time and is an incredible talent.”

Lindsay Hartley will be tasked with directing the movie from a screenplay by actress and screen writer Ansley Gordon.  Gordon has been working in collaboration with Nicely this past year for several projects, including "The Abby Brooks Mysteries" to premier on Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Pure Flix in 2023. Richards is represented by Vault Entertainment and GGSSC; Jonathan Stoddard by Peter Kallinteris at Peter Kallenteris Agency; and James Hyde by Mike Baldridge at Momentum Talent and Literary Agency with his deal for the movie negotiated by manager Laura Pallas at Pallas Management Group.

In the movie, Brooke Walkins (Richards) is the host for the hit radio talk show Breakfast with Brooke produced by Kenzie Parker (Gordon). Their show has been dipping in ratings since Brooke and her husband Todd (Hyde) separated, and Brooke has decided to keep that a secret from everyone. After learning that their show is on the chopping block, Kenzie sets Brooke up with a series of live on-air blind dates to find a date for the company Christmas party and get the show back on track. Kenzie finds herself having to choose between her heart and her head when she learns that Ben (Stoddard), the guy she's interested has submitted an application to go out with Brooke. Kenzie brings him in for a date, and he and Brooke hit it off. Kenzie pushes her feelings aside for the good of the show after learning that he is polling highly with listeners.
