Nicely Entertainment starts principal photography on “Mysteries of the Heart”

Los Angeles-based independent production and distribution company Nicely Entertainment is commencing production on its first Arizona-based original movie, “Mysteries of the Heart,” for Pure Flix, a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment and the number one ranked Christian VOD channel in the United States.

Commencing principal photography in Prescott, Arizona, “Mysteries of the Heart” will star Ansley Gordon, Bret Green, and Karen Abercrombie. The film is being directed by actor, director, and screenwriter Brittany Goodwin from a screenplay by Ansley Gordon. Nicely’s CEO, Vanessa Shapiro, serves as Executive Producer, with Nicely’s newly installed Head of Production, David Hickey, serving as Producer.

“Mysteries of the Heart” centers around Abby Brooks, a true-crime podcaster struggling to come to terms with the loss of her baby and subsequent divorce. Moving back to her hometown, she quickly gets wrapped up in a mystery surrounding the untimely death of her eccentric neighbor. Following the clues left behind for her, Abby goes on a journey of faith, reconnection, and adventure as she works with her childhood crush, Matt, a local cop who has secretly had feelings for Abby for years, to solve the layered mystery.
