NICELY ENTERTAINMENT LICENSES FOUR NEW HOLIDAY MOVIES TO LIFETIME CHANNEL IN THE US

The films are set to air throughout the 2020 holiday season. The company is currently further developing its slate with additional productions.

Nicely Entertainment has licensed four new holiday movies to Lifetime to air during the 2020 holiday season. “Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we are very proud of all the work and content created during our first year in business, and we are especially delighted to have four of our movie’s premiere on Lifetime’s 30 title holiday movie schedule,” said Vanessa Shapiro, CEO, Nicely Entertainment. 

The licensing was led by Shapiro, a former Gaumont executive. Nicely Entertainment is currently in development and production on its 2021 slate, with a line-up of 12 new movies coming up next year. “We had a great response to these titles and our entire slate from buyers at the virtual MIPCOM market,” Shapiro said. “We’re presenting new titles at AFM in November, and our new 12-movie slate for 2021 is already in the works with our first movie, Ten Steps to Love, currently in production.”

“Christmas on the Menu” is set to air on 18th December and “Ten Steps To Love”  is currently in production in North Carolina. Shapiro also serves as executive producer on the two additional titles as part of the Lifetime deal. “Lonestar Christmas," produced by BRB Studios in Vancouver and set to air Deceber 14. Offered at this year's AFM is Nicely Entertaminment’s first co-production in Australia, the romantic TV movie, “This Little Love of Mine” also forms part of the slate, along with “The Christmas Listing,” set to air on 30th November.

Among the romance and thriller titles debuting to buyers for the first time is  "Save the Wedding," "His Killer Fan," Crazy Legs production which will premiere in the US on the Lifetime Movie Network, among others.
 
The 90-minute film, “Christmas On The Menu” follows celebrity city chef, Josie, head home to spend the holidays at her mom’s new restaurant, where she creates a special holiday menu. When famous food critic Tanner Rhodes comes to town to review the restaurant, a romance soon begins to blossom. And in A Very Charming Christmas Town, airing on 8th November, romance sparks between a city girl and travel blogger and her host, a local chocolate shop owner, amidst the twinkling lights of the romantic Danish village of Solvang. Both movies are Nicely Entertainment and the Ninth House co-productions.

In “Lonestar Christmas,” a single mom learns to forgive her estranged father while visiting him on his Texas ranch and unexpectedly falls in love with local restaurateur Mateo Verdosa. “This Little Love Of Mine” is a story about a successful big-city lawyer sent to the tropical island of Sapphire Cove to convince her childhood best friend Chip to take over his grandfather’s company. In “The Christmas Listing,” an uptight and hardworking realtor regains her Christmas spirit when she and her competitor are stuck with each other at the Farmstead Inn, a listing they’re both competing for, and sparks unexpectedly begin to fly.
