Nicely Entertainment has secured a distribution sale with Netflix for “This Little Love Of Mine.” The streamer will debut the tropical romance next month on the 7th. “We are thrilled that together with The Steve Jaggi Company we were able to move forward with “This Little Light Of Mine” during the pandemic,” Vanessa Shapiro said. “We are delighted that audiences around the world will now get to enjoy it on NETFLIX this summer.”
The Steve Jaggi Company production, executively produced by Shapiro was shot at Palm Cove, Far North Queensland, and introduced itself to the world at the Gold Coast Film Festival in April. Nicely Entertainment will handle all distribution aspects.
The story is written by Georgia Harrison and directed by Christine Luby. Its cast member list includes Lynn Gilmartin, Lawrence Ola, Monette Lee, Tiriel Mora, and Martin Portus. “We shot the film under strict conditions during the pandemic and I know what a tough time this has been for so many people,” Luby said. “My hope is that this film can uplift and inspire people and show off the tropical paradise of Australia's Far North Queensland".
The film was the first feature film to go into production in Australia amid the pandemic. Starring Saskia Hampele and Liam McIntyr, it tells the story of San Francisco lawyer, Laura Price, who travels to an island after her biggest client, Chip’s grandfather, requests for her to deliver a contract to make Chip his heir, leaving behind her fiance, and life as she knows it. “It's wonderful to be able to share this uplifting love story about following your heart with audiences around the world,” Luby said.
