The acclaimed ORF-Enterprise's film “80 Plus” has won the Audience Award for the Most Popular Feature Film at the Austrian Film Awards 2025. This prestigious recognition underscores the film’s impact and widespread appeal among audiences throughout Austria, ultimately resulting in a success at the box office.

TWO WOMEN ON A MISSION

“80 Plus”, directed by Sabine Hiebler and Gerhard Ertl, is a tragicomic road movie that follows Helene, a former theater diva, and Toni, a retired nurse, as they embark on a journey to Switzerland for assisted suicide. Thanks to their contrasting personalities, their adventure is full of challenges. As they navigate the obstacles of frailty, they discover new possibilities along the way.

The film is a co-production by ORF, Orbrock Filmproduktion and Tivoli Film and distributed worldwide by ORF-Enterprise.
