ORF-Enterprise celebrates the recent win for the ORF Universum Nature documentary “Tagliamento – King of the Alpine Rivers” at the Deauville Green Awards. The film, co-produced by ORF, ZDF/ARTE and RAN-Film, was awarded in the category Ecotourism and Sustainable Travel in the Docu Competition, representing Austria on the international stage.

The documentary offers an extraordinary journey along the last wild river in Europe. Flowing through north-eastern Italy, the Tagliamento remains untouched by human intervention, supporting a unique and vibrant ecosystem. The film showcases the river’s spectacular wildlife, including rare species such as wolves, lynxes, and jackals, and highlights the importance of preserving this natural treasure for future generations.
