"Vladimir Putin: Power At Any Cost"
Quintus Studios' "Vladimir Putin: Power At Any Cost" documentary (1x60’) has been acquired by Warner Brothers Discovery Italy and Poland’s Polsat. The film produced by the in-house production team at German broadcaster Welt24, documents how the former KGB spy became the most influential man on earth.
"Vladimir Putin: Power At Any Cost" explores how Putin built an effective propaganda machine and his brand of autocratic power politics. The film also studies his pursuit and construction of the controversial Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline project with Germany.
"It is great to see ‘Vladimir Putin: Power At Any Cost’ being picked up in Italy and Poland. In these challenging times, it’s important to understand the background of the conflict and the background to international economic and social relationships. Welt did an excellent job in creating a contemporary portrait of Vladimir Putin’s rise to power" said Anouk van Dijk, Head of Sales & Co-Productions at Quintus Studios.
Other recent sales announced by Quintus Studios include "Crisis in Cocaine Valley" by Viaplay Group for its Viaplay streaming service in multiple territories. The company has recently added to its senior management team with the hire of former Pluto TV executive David Woodford to lead operations.
Quintus Studios is also currently running its latest Content Club, a virtual round table screening week, showcasing and fine tuning new premium factual projects in a collaborative development process with pre-selected streamers and broadcasters. The initiative is designed to streamline the development and fundraising of factual series for international channels, streamers and producers.
