"7 vs Wild"
Quintus Studios, the international factual content distributor and channel owner, has revealed a new line up of factual content available for international acquisition at this year’s MIPCOM. The company’s slate includes a wide ranging premium factual catalogue of both new Quintus Originals documentary series and ready-made series from German broadcaster WeltN24.
"7 vs Wild" (CaliVision Network GMBH) is a hit reality format developed by German YouTube producers Fritz Meinecke, Johannes Hovekamp and Max Kovacs and one of Germany’s biggest media successes of recent years. The show, originally shot for their YouTube channel, sends seven teams of fellow content creators and influencers into the wilderness with just seven basic items they have nominated - such as a sleeping bag, cigarette lighter or knife. Amazon Freevee has acquired the rights to broadcast all three seasons in Germany.
"Illegal Gold: The New Cocaine" (4x60’ Mazdoc for Quintus Originals) is a docu-reality series with exclusive access to operations of the Military Brigade Against Illegal Mining of the Colombian national army - the only unit in the continent fully dedicated to fighting this activity and protecting the region.
"Red Zones" (4x60’ Frederick Gillingham for Quintus Originals) is a doc series uncovering the lives of ordinary people living in the world’s most precarious places. Red Zones is produced by acclaimed video journalist Fredrick Gillingham.
"Exceptional Engineering" - series 4 (6x60’ WeltN24) focuses on the latest innovations including the world’s most sustainable tractor, the world's biggest crane, and a remarkable self driving mega transporter equipped with 20 axes.
"How to Build a Dream Car" (WeltN24 - 6x60’) focuses on the production iconic vehicles like BMW Alpina or Mercedes G-Class model, while "Behind Bars – The World’s Toughest Prisons" (Maximus Film- 6x'60 min) is produced by leading German factual producer Maximus Film, and reveals what it really means to be part of this very special world behind bars.
"History of the German Armed Forces" (Welt N24 -7x60’) presents the history of the German Air Force, Navy and Army and features naval exercises on the Baltic Sea and goes inside the Warnemünde naval base in Rostock. "Germany’s Military Machines" (Welt N24 -3x60’) goes behind the scenes with the German Armed Forces.
