Sky strengthens its unscripted slate with eleven new Sky Original commissions

Sky unveiled the launches of 12 new unscripted original commissions on Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky Nature and Sky Arts in 2023. “Showcasing a richly diverse range of stories, characters and tones – from the man who built our obsession with social media, to the shocking treatment of our gay veterans, from a spate of bizarre international rhino horn robberies to the triumphs and trials of Daley Thompson, as well as the Dublin-based follow up to our award-winning series Liverpool Narcos, and much more beyond - I couldn’t be more excited about our latest slate of projects in 2023 for Sky Documentaries and Sky Crime," Poppy Dixon, Director of Documentaries and Factual Commissioning said.

On Sky Documentaries, brand new feature doc "Zuckerberg: King of the Metaverse" will join "Daley" and crime series such as "Dublin Narcos," from the team behind BAFTA Award-winning "Liverpool Narcos," "Gone: Ireland’s Vanishing Triangle," new docu-series "Who Killed Lin" and "Megan Russell?"  as well as "The Great Rhino Robbery," and "Forced Out."Sky Nature will offer "Whale with Steve Backshall," while Sky Arts launches the six-parter Brian Johnson and Mark Knopfler’s "Good Times." The platform will also offer the new feature documentary "Decoding Turner" and "Master Crafters."

Sky Documentaries and Sky Crime titles are commissioned by Poppy Dixon, Director of Documentaries and Factual. Sky Arts titles are commissioned by Phil Edgar-Jones, Director of Sky Arts and Entertainment. All titles are commissioned for Zai Bennett, Managing Director of Content for Sky UK and Ireland. The Commissioning Editors for factual are Tom Barry and Hayley Reynolds. The Commissioning Editors for arts are Barbara Lee and Benedetta Pinelli. Other original and exclusive TV shows and films are also coming to Sky in 2023.
