Superights announced a group of sales for its new 3D series “That’s Joey!” (52x13’). The program has already been picked up by RTBF (French speaking Belgium), RTS (Switzerland), Discovery Kids (Middle East and North Africa), and RTI (Ivory Coast), along with commissioning broadcaster M6 (France). Planeta Junior also stroke a deal with Kidzone in the Baltics.
Produced by Superprod Animation, in coproduction with Digital Graphics, Atmosphere and Planeta Junior, “That’s Joey!” is an animation comedy TV series based on the comic books created by Thierry Coppée and published by Delcourt, with over 5 million copies sold worldwide.
Aimed at kids from 6 to 9, “That’s Joey!” follows the adventures of Joey, an irresistible and unpredictable kid with an overactive imagination. Joey just can’t stop concocting the zaniest schemes, in class, at home or everywhere in between.
Developed and produced in partnership with M6, the final stages of the production of the series are now being completed at Superprod’s studios in Paris and Angouleme, and at Digital Graphics in Belgium. M6 will soon announce the broadcasting schedule of the series.
“It's a long lasting relationship we have with Thierry Coppée, the creator of ‘That’s Joey,’ and Delcourt, its publisher. We are very happy to enrich it and that an even wider audience can follow Joey's adventures,” said Clément Calvet and Jérémie Fajner, producers at Superprod Animation.
“It is a real asset to have a brand as strong and well-known as ‘That’s Joey’ in our catalogue. In this new 3D series, we meet an adorable character, full of humor and kindness,” commented Nathalie Pinguet, Deputy General Manager of Superights.
