The Canada Media Fund and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg will allocate a total of $556,824 in funding to three interactive digital media projects.

Funding decisions for the Canada-Germany Digital Media Incentive were made by a selection committee composed of CMF and MBB representatives according to a set of criteria, such as innovative and creative elements, how projects engage the targeted community and audience, the creative team, and the viability of the projects’ budget and timelines.

The first is a video co-production between Quebec-based art et essai inc. and High Road Stories Heezen & Robbins GbR. Titled "An Empty Seat," the project has secured $120,000 in development support, with each funder providing half the funds.

The second, a game project by British Columbia-based Wildermage Games inc. and ootiboo GmbH titled "Wildermage: The Magic of Here," has obtained $154,038, approximately €105,720 in development funding. The CMF is contributing $87,799 (approximately €60,245) while MBM is providing $66,240, approximately €45,453. Lastly, "dA.I.ting: Internet of Flings," a game co-produced by Nova Scotia’s Red Meat Games inc. and Honig Studios GmbH, will receive $282,785.72 (approximately €194,085) in production funding, split equally between the two funders.
