TVF International closed record deals across in-flight, licensing over 200 hours of programming to airline partners. All deals were brokered by Elina Ishkhanova, Sales Executive at TVF International, who commented: "The TVF International catalogue’s diverse and engaging range of factual content continues to resonate strongly with In-flight buyers worldwide. It’s been a privilege to broker record deals that showcase how well our programming enhances the passenger experience, staying informative and entertaining at 30,000 feet."
Virgin Atlantic licensed a number of travel programmes from the distributor, including "Golden Opulence" (1x50') which explores the fashion, food, art and architecture of Anatolia, world music series, "Music Voyager" (60x30'), "A Street Like This" (6x23'), which travels Asia’s most iconic streets, and the ZDF/Arte commissioned "Wild Kingdom: Inside Britain’s National Parks" (4x52'). Virgin Atlantic also picked up a geopolitical documentary for RTL Germany, "Arming the Arctic" (1x50'), a wildlife conservation series for CNA, "Rewilding Sharks" (2x48'), and CBC’s "For the Culture with Amanda Parris," which interrogates the issues most affecting Black communities around the world today. Rounding out their selection was BBC extreme sports series, "BMX All Stars" (10x23'), which is narrated by "Top Boy and Adolescence" star, Ashley Walters.
Anuvu licensed 35 hours from the distributor for their airline partners, acquiring a selection of wine programmes including "That’s Wine" (6x30') about the vineyards of Georgia, and the Channel 5-commissioned, "Floyd Uncorked" (8x24'), which follows Keith Floyd on his journey around the wine regions of France. Anuvu also selected specials from "No Luggage" (314x29') from Art Winner Productions, featuring wineries in Spain and South Africa.
In Travel, Anuvu licensed the BBC-commissioned Martin Compston’s Norwegian Fling (6 x 30) from Tern TV, as well as Iceland From Above (1 x 52) and Finland From Above (1 x 52). They acquired two programmes commissioned by Singaporean broadcaster, CNA: the luxury lifestyle series, Remarkable Living (55 x 23), and Panda Power: Rise of the Furry Diplomats (1 x 48). In-flight entertainment company Touch Aero took 15 hours of programming from the distributor. Their selection included "The World’s Greatest Sporting Arenas" (3x60'), which uncovers the secrets of the world’s most remarkable stadiums and was produced by Cwmni Da, "Heavyweight: Japan’s Female Sumo Wrestlers" (1x48') which follows some of the world’s top female sumo wrestlers, and vegan food series, "Eating Plants" (12x30'). Touch Aero also licensed celeb-fronted science doc, "Fluid" (1x48'), in which comedian Mae Martin explores gender fluidity in the natural world, and K-Pop music doc, "Mamamoo" (1x120').
Spafax acquired disability-first dating series, "Down For Love" (10x46'), produced by Attitude Pictures for TVNZ, and premium sports documentary "Australia’s Open" (1x90'), produced by Good Thing Productions for ABC Australia and ESPN, which goes behind the scenes of the iconic tournament. In the factual entertainment and lifestyle space, they also licensed: "Garage Dreams" (26x26'), "The "Healthy Food Guide" (10x23') and "Visionary Gardeners" (10x22'). Century Carnival licensed a package of aerial documentaries, including Castles From Above (10x52'), and specials from Aerial Profiles (23x52') on New York (1x52') and Portugal (1x52'). Creative Century licensed The World’s Most Powerful Telescope (1x52'), which follows leading scientists at the European Southern Observatory.
