This appointment is part of ZDF Studios’ broader strategic push to deepen its international content partnerships and build a robust pipeline of high-quality, globally resonant drama. The company highlighted Herrera’s proven track record in navigating complex international deals and his ability to identify and cultivate strong creative collaborations.
“Rodrigo brings a wealth of experience and a sharp market sensibility to our team,” the company noted. “His knowledge of global scripted trends, combined with his co-production acumen, will be invaluable as we pursue ambitious projects across multiple territories.”
With Herrera now onboard, ZDF Studios is poised to accelerate its activity in high-demand markets and deepen its footprint in English-language drama, further positioning itself as a serious player in global content development and distribution.
