Apple has ordered Anglo-French original "Liaison.” The series, set to debut worldwide on Apple TV+, serves as the first French and English language Apple Original.
The new French thriller is co-produced by Newen’s Ringside Studios and Leonis Production, with Gub Neal and Jean Benoit Gillig serving as executive producers. Emmy Award winner Stephen Hopkins took on the director role. Additional Executive producers include Sarada McDermott, Justin Thomson, Stephen Hopkins, and Ed Barlow. Joanie Blaikie and Eric Jollant.
Following its late 2019 launch, Apple TV+ is the first all-original streaming service to become available worldwide. Its list of award recognitions has already surpassed that of its streaming competitors, totaling 112 wins and 389 awards. The platform is currently accessible to more than 1 billion screens.
The show, starring Vincent Cassel and Eva Green, explores how the mistakes of our past have the potential to destroy our future. The series combines action with an unpredictable, multi-layered plot in which espionage and political intrigue play out against a story of passionate and enduring love. Additional cast include Peter Mullan, Gerard Lanvin, Daniel Francis, Stanislas Merhar, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Laetitia Eido, Eriq Ebouaney, Bukky Bukray and Emmy award winner Thierry Fremont.
