BBC Studios have partnered with Budge Studios to launch the first-ever Bluey mobile app game, “Bluey: Let’s Play,” which will be available at the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore from 15th August 2023. “Bluey: Let’s Play” is free to download and gives free access to locations such as the kitchen and backyard, as well as characters Bingo and Bluey. Paid subscribers will be given access to more characters and locations, such as the Heeler living room, playroom, and bathroom, with extra rooms launching later in the year.

Stephen Davies, Managing Director, Consumer Products & Licencing, BBC Studios, said: “I’m delighted that BBC Studios is partnering with Budge Studios on this exciting venture bringing Bluey and the Heeler family into our gaming portfolio, giving fans around the world the opportunity to enjoy this fun interactive app gaming experience.”

Since bursting onto TV screens in Australia in 2018, "Bluey," produced by Ludo Studio and jointly commissioned by BBC Studios Kids & Family and ABC Children’s, has enjoyed many critical successes at home and aboard. The show recently won a 2022 BAFTA Children & Young People Award in the International category and picked up its fourth consecutive AACTA Best Children’s Programme award to add to an International Emmy and numerous awards for craft and production around the world. A ratings hit, "Bluey" is Australia's first children’s show and the best-rated show on CBeebies in the UK.

“We’re very excited to be bringing the official Bluey mobile app game to our audiences across the globe. The whole family will love seeing the Bluey Heeler home come alive in this exciting interactive game while having the chance to explore the fun world of Bluey,” Henrietta Hurford-Jones, Commissioner & Executive Producer of Bluey for BBC Studios Kids & Family, added.

Mike Elman, Co-CEO/Founder of Budge Studios, said: "As huge fans of the show ourselves, we're excited to bring Bluey to life on mobile devices for the first time ever. We think kids and fans of the show will love the interactive gameplay and creating their own stories in the Bluey universe.”

“Bluey: Let’s Play” is based on the Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning global TV show that follows Bluey, a loveable, inexhaustible Blue Heeler dog who lives with her Mum, Dad, and her little sister, Bingo. Like every kid her age, the thing Bluey likes to do best is play games. Bluey uses her limitless energy to play games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways bringing her family and the whole neighborhood into her world of fun. Bluey showcases the joyful simplicity that can be found in families by bringing to life how children learn and grow through play.

Bluey’s Heeler family home comes alive in this exciting interactive app gaming experience, packed with amazing things to see and do. Navigating through every room allows players to join in with making food, playing with toys, making music and so much more. Everything is interactive and responds to your touch. Make up your own stories as you go, just like Bluey. Exploring and interacting with various Bluey environments, fans can recreate moments from episodes, such as building and using the pizza oven in the backyard or testing out different recipes in the kitchen.
