Movistar Plus+ becomes the first Spanish operator to launch SkyShowtime

SkyShowtime will be available to all customers of the Ficción miMovistar package from the beginning of 2024.

Movistar Plus+ to launch SkyShowtime. The agreement will bring SkyShowtime’s wide range of content with major film titles and Hollywood series to Movistar Plus+’s platform. With this alliance, Movistar Plus+ reaffirms its leadership in the Spanish market and consolidates its strategy as an aggregator that already includes global and national operators

SkyShowtime will be available to all customers of the Ficción miMovistar package from the beginning of 2024. SkyShowtime will be integrated into Movistar Plus+ so that consumers have seamless and easy access through the platform's main navigation and on-demand service. In addition, a new linear channel will be launched. Movistar Plus+ and SkyShowtime announced a new multi-year agreement, bringing SkyShowtime to Telefónica's TV offering.

From early 2024, SkyShowtime, with its exclusive selection of international and Spanish-language series and the newest theatrical releases from Paramount and Universal, will be included in the Ficción miMovistar package. Movistar Plus+ becomes the first Spanish operator to launch SkyShowtime. Access to SkyShowtime's content will be integrated as part of the platform's main navigation and available on-demand. In addition, a new dedicated SkyShowtime linear channel will be launched featuring its new releases, films, and series. Subscribers of Ficción miMovistar package will be able to access an attractive entertainment offer that adds SkyShowtime’s large number of hit movies and original series, including content from the iconic brands of Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount+, SHOWTIME, Sky Studios, and Peacock, as well as SkyShowtime's original series.
