NETFLIX ANNOUNCES SEVEN ORIGINAL SPANISH PROJECTS

This year, it will launch the unscripted production "Sing on!" and a documentary about the phenomenon of "Money Heist", confirming another five new original Spanish projects (two series and three films) that will be released between 2021 and 2022.

Netflix has just announced 7 new original productions that will be produced in Spain and can be enjoyed in 190 countries.

For this year, a documentary film about "Money Heist" stands out, which will focus on showing the worldwide phenomenon that it generated after its premiere in 2017. It will be available from next April 3, thus coinciding with the premiere of the fourth season of the series.

The second novelty for this year is "Sing on!", which will be a musical contest where 6 participants will show their singing skills and compete for a cumulative prize of up to 30,000 euros.

On the other hand, it also announces the final season of "Cable Girls", Netflix's first Spanish original, whose closing will be broadcast in two parts. The first one will be launched on February 14.

The company is spreading the first images of "Someone Has to Die", "The Mess You Leave Behind" and "The Innocent", original series in Spanish created by Manolo Caro ('La casa de las flores'), Carlos Montero ('Elite ') and Oriol Paulo ('The invisible guest') that will be launched next fall; as well as the new image of "The Occupant", whose premiere date will be the service next March 25.

Netflix will continue to invest in the production of Spanish content that could be enjoyed worldwide between 2021 and 2022. These are 5 new original projects that will begin to be produced shortly.

First, it highlights a new series by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo produced by Atípica Films, which is still in the development phase, so we will have to wait to know the title and the release date.

"Jaguar" is another series that will be added to the catalog this year. It will be produced by Bambú Producciones and will star Blanca Blanca. It will be set in the 60s, when Spain received Nazi refugees after World War II.

Finally, you will add 3 new feature films to your catalog. The first will be "Amor de madre", directed by Paco Caballero and with Carmen Machi and Quim Gutiérrez; secondly, the new film by Dani de la Orden, showrunner of the popular 'Elite', which is currently in the production phase is announced; ending with the movie "Fuimos Canciones", is the adaptation of Elísabet Benavent 'Canciones y recuerdos' bilogy.
