SkyShowtime announced that the second season of “The Envoys” (Los Enviados) will premiere exclusively on the service from January 26, with four episodes available to stream from launch. The remaining four episodes will be available to stream from March 15. The first season of the show is also available to stream in the platform.

The show stars Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Luis Gerardo Méndez, alongside Assira Abbate. Juan José Campanella serves as showrunner, producer and director. The cast also includes Marta Etura, Cristina Marcos, Charo Zapardiel, Luis Iglesia, Ricardo de Barreiro, Susi Sánchez, Pepón Nieto, Carlos Olalla, Isabel Naveira, Miquel Insúa, Guillermo Carbajo, and Francis Lorenzo, among others.

In the second season of “The Envoys,” priests Pedro Salinas and Simón Antequera travel to Porto da Lúa, a small fishing village located in Galicia, to determine the veracity of a new miracle. In the convent of the village, where three blind nuns live, one of them, Sister Corina, has had a revealing vision: Xiana, a girl who disappeared shortly after her birth 18 years ago, is alive and in good health in Canada. After the intervention of the governments of Spain and Canada, it is corroborated that the girl is there and almost two decades after her abduction, the young girl returns to meet her parents and her true origins.

Priests Salinas and Antequera will have to determine whether the nun's vision is due to divine intervention. For this they collaborate with Sister Emilia, who is now fully integrated into their team. However, shortly after arriving at the village, a bloody crime takes place, and the envoys find themselves involved in a double investigation: one of a mystical-religious nature and the other much earthlier.

The first season of “The Envoys” won Gold for Best Drama and Silver for Best Screenplay at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, one of the industry's most prestigious international awards. This second season was filmed in the Galician towns of A Guarda, Nigrán, Forcarei, Tui, Oia, Pontevedra, and Santiago de Compostela.
