VA Media taps YouTube momentum with curated Holiday films and documentaries

VA Media has officially launched its annual holiday programming slate across its owned and operated YouTube channels, including "Holiday Movie Central," "Luxury Living," and "Documentary Central." The announcement comes as December marks a 50% spike in viewership of festive content, positioning VA Media to meet seasonal demand at scale through free, curated programming for global audiences.

As YouTube continues to emerge as a primary home for long-form viewing, VA Media has strengthened its leadership in the AVOD content monetization space. With more than one million subscribers across its channels, the company offers an extensive catalog of free, full-length feature films, TV series, and documentaries, solidifying its reputation among studios, producers, and networks looking to reach broader audiences through YouTube.

"Holiday Movie Central," one of VA Media’s newest channels, leads the seasonal rollout with more than 60 ad-supported holiday films and series. The lineup includes titles featuring well-known stars such as Lee Remick, Angela Lansbury, French Stewart, Connie Sellecca, Randy Travis, Vivica A. Fox, Jackée Harry, Roma Downey, Cynthia Gibb, George Newbern, Cathy Lee Crosby, Tatyana Ali, Ernie Hudson, Doris Roberts, and Jordin Sparks. Among the most-viewed and family-friendly favorites are "Santa Claws," "The Dog Who Saved Christmas," "A Doggone Christmas," and "The Queen’s Corgi."

Classic and contemporary seasonal films on the channel also include "A Nanny For Christmas," "Dear Secret Santa," "A Prince For Christmas," "Christmas Coupon," "Saving Santaland," and "The Key To Christmas." New titles are added weekly to keep content fresh and audience engagement high.

On "Luxury Living," viewers can explore lifestyle and holiday-themed series such as "Christmas at St. Paul’s," offering exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the famed cathedral during the festive season, and "Tiny Christmas Challenge," hosted by Sandi Toksvig. Additional programming includes "Lighting Up Christmas," spotlighting Britain’s most elaborate residential holiday displays.

"Documentary Central" adds depth to the seasonal slate with titles like "The World's Most Expensive Cruise Christmas Special," featuring life aboard the Seven Seas Splendor; "Finding Santa," which traces the origins of Santa Claus through global traditions; and "A Big Lego Christmas," chronicling the creation of a record-breaking Lego model of Tower Bridge.

Both "Luxury Living" and "Documentary Central" have introduced new specials including "Christmas at Chatsworth House," "Christmas at Stately Homes of England," "Christmas at The Biggest Sweet Store in The World," "Tom Kerridge’s Christmas Dinner," "Tom Kerridge’s Veggie Christmas," "Royal Christmas at Sandringham," and "Alpine Hotel at Christmas."

By leveraging the rising popularity of AVOD and capitalizing on YouTube’s global reach, VA Media is redefining festive viewing for digital audiences.
