ViX+ has confirmed plans to launch “María Félix, La Doña” and “La Mujer del Diablo” on 21 July exclusively on its platform. Sandra Echeverría, Ximena Romo, and Abril Vergara will star in the series as they portray Maria Félix at different stages of her life. The title also features Guillermo García Cantú, Ana Bertha Espín, Josh Gutiérrez, Ximena Ayala, Markin López, Úrsula Pruneda, Ramon Medina, and Helena Rojo. The bioseries is produced by Carmen Armendáriz, directed by Mafer Suárez and written by Larissa Andrade, Alejandro Gerber, Tania Tinajero and Gabriela Rodríguez.
Based on journalistic research and testimonies by the people closest to María Félix during her lifetime, including Luis Martínez de Anda, her right-hand man, and universal heir, the series narrates the life of this iconic actress from her early days to her rise to fame and more. The first two episodes will be available on the premiere date; the following episodes drop weekly. “La Mujer del Diablo” premieres on ViX+ in the U.S., Mexico, and most Spanish-speaking Latin America. The production was shot in more than fifty locations throughout central Mexico with cutting-edge cinematographic technology, an exceptional aesthetic, and more than 1,300 extras.
