Atresmedia arrives in Berlin with two of its most outstanding series from recent months. The dramas "Santuario" ("Sanctuary") and "Honor" ("Your Honor") have been selected by the prestigious Berlinale festival for its Series Market Selects section. Both Atresmedia productions are among the 17 series chosen worldwide by Berlinale programmers for their exceptional quality and potential in the international market, standing out from numerous projects submitted from around the globe.
The series selected by Berlinale will have a unique opportunity to be screened in the international market. Both "Santuario" ("Sanctuary") and "Honor" ("Your Honor") will receive special screenings during the event under the Berlinale selection seal, providing a platform for connecting potential buyers with distributors to reach a global audience.
"Santuario" ("Sanctuary") is a production by Atresmedia in collaboration with Pokeepsie Films. Montse García and Rodrigo Ruiz-Gallardón serve as executive producers, with Álex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang as producers. The series stars Aura Garrido and Lucía Guerrero. Aura portrays Valle, an engineer specializing in AI with strong principles, who is forced to reassess her values when offered a job at the Sanctuary. Lucía Guerrero plays Pilar, a pregnant woman who arrives at the Sanctuary three months into her pregnancy and quickly begins to notice strange occurrences around her.
"Honor" ("Your Honor"") is a production by Atresmedia in collaboration with Portocabo. Montse García and Alfonso Blanco serve as executive producers. The series is based on the Israeli format "Kvodo," created by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach for yes TV. Starring Darío Grandinetti, "Honor" ("Your Honor – Spanish Adaptation") presents an emotional, criminal, and legal thriller that explores the moral dilemma of a respected judge. He must decide the lengths he is willing to go to in order to save his son, who becomes involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident that threatens to destroy their lives.
