Mipcom and BBC Studios announced plans to stream an exclusive interview with the A-list cast and crew for the much-anticipated drama “The Pursuit of Love” on Mipcom Online+. International buyers and delegates worldwide will get the chance to hear directly from writer and director Emily Mortimer, as well as the cast of this new wildly imaginative adaptation -  Lily James, Emily Beecham, Dominic West, Andrew Scott and Dolly Wells. The team will talk about the story, their characters, and what it’s been like to film this new event drama.

The interview will be available on the Mipcom Online+ platform at 9 AM CET on October 12, 2020. BBC Studios Connect, a virtual destination to highlight premium content on offer to international buyers during Mipcom, will also broadcast the panel simultaneously.

“The Pursuit of Love” is a romantic comedy-drama about love and friendship. An adaptation of Nancy Mitford’s celebrated novel and set in Europe between the two World Wars, the story follows the adventures and misadventures of the charismatic and fearless Linda Radlett, played by Lily James and her best friend and cousin Fanny Logan, played by Emily Beecham.

Consumed by a desire for love and marriage, the two women are on the hunt for the ideal husband. Their friendship is put to the test as Fanny settles for a steady life and Linda decides to follow her heart, to increasingly wild and outrageous places. As social and political divisions split the nation, their diverging choices raise personal questions that remain intensely relevant today – questions about freedom, love, sex, and the mystery of the human heart.

The show is an Open Book and Moonage Pictures production for BBC in the UK. Amazon Studios is co-producing within the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The series is internationally distributed by BBC Studios.
