EFM 2021: PINK PARROT MEDIA AQUIRES GLOBAL RIGHTS TO ANIMATED FEATURE "TRASH"

International distributor is selling the family adventure at the European Film Market taking place March 1-5th alongside anothers animated and live action series.

International sales and distribution company Pink Parrot Media (PPM) has acquired the global distribution rights to the award-winning 3D animated feature, "TRASH" from Italy’s Al One Srl. The distributor is selling the 88’ min. family adventure at this year’s European Film Market taking place March 1-5th. 

Released in Italy this Fall by renowned distributor Notorious, “TRASH” is directed by Luca Della Grotta and Francesco Dafano and its centers on the importance of recycling and giving a second life to litter in a meaningful way. In a world where trash comes to life by night, the feature film follows the adventures of a bunch of waste in a quest to pursuit a mythical recycling bin.

The film, which will be screened as a Market Premiere during the 2021 Virtual EFM, has been recognized with the audience award - Festival del Cinema Italiano di Madrid (2020) and screened at Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF Animation 2020) including participations at the Festival del Cinema di Roma 2020: Alice nella città (Opening event) ; Cinekid - Out of Competition (2020); Festival del Cinema Italiano di Madrid (2020) “Audience award” Silk Road International Film Festival  (Xi ’An 2020: Focus on Italy) Cartoon On The Bay (2020) Capri, Hollywood (2020) JEF Festival – European Youth Festival (2021). "TRASH" will also participate to multiple festivals competitions in 2021.

During EFM, Pink Parrot Media will also pursue the pre-sales of it’s beautiful CGI animated feature film "Butterfly Tale", a coproduction between Carpediem Film & TV in Canada and Ulysses in Germany, which is now in production. PPM’s other titles include projects in financing: German-Belgium-Canada animation feature coproduction "Elli!" and the Canada-India feature film "Mandala" as well as some completed titles such as the 2D animation "The Red Scoll" and live-action "My life as Lotta", "My Grandpa is an Alien" and "Matti & Sami".
