Globo is taking a wide and varied portfolio to the LA Screenings — an event that gathers major international industry players in Los Angeles — featuring novelties, telenovelas, Globoplay Originals, and both scripted and unscripted formats. The LA Screenings marks the international launch of the fourth season of "Anti-Kidnapping Unit", a Globoplay Original action series. Other highlights include the telenovelas "Crazy About You" and "She’s The One", as well as documentary series like "Xuxa, A Life on TV", "Para Sempre Paquitas" (Forever Paquitas), and "Robinho Case".

Created by José Junior ("Living on a Razor's Edge") and José Luiz Magalhães, and directed by Lipe Binder ("Living on a Razor's Edge"), the new season of "Anti-Kidnapping Unit" features suspense-filled and adrenaline-packed episodes set in late-1990s Rio de Janeiro. The story follows Detective Carlos Mendonça (Silvio Guindane) and Inspector Juliano Santiago (Erom Cordeiro) as they tackle a challenging case in the Anti-Kidnapping Division.

Recently aired in prime time on Brazilian broadcast TV, "Crazy About You" is a story by João Emanuel Carneiro, the same author of "Brazil Avenue" and "All the Flowers". The plot centers on the friendship between Viola (Gabz, from "Perfect Love") and Luma (Agatha Moreira, from "Hidden Truths"), two women born on the same day who meet years later, brought together by coincidences that go beyond just a shared birthday. Meanwhile, "She’s The One", by Alessandra Poggi ("A Trick of Fate"), is set in the 1950s and follows Beatriz (Duda Santos, from "Rebirth") on her journey of self-discovery and reconciliation with the past as she reunites with the mother she believes abandoned her as a child.

Among the documentary series, "Xuxa, A Life on TV" explores the behind-the-scenes of the personal life and career of Maria da Graça Xuxa Meneghel, the iconic host of a children's TV show and one of Brazil’s biggest celebrities, with recognition across Latin America, Europe, and the U.S. "Para Sempre Paquitas" dives into the lives and careers of the legendary former stage assistants of Xuxa. "Robinho Case" details the criminal investigation that led to a nine-year prison sentence for a global soccer star convicted of group sexual assault.

In addition, the portfolio includes scripted formats like "The Other Side of Paradise" and "All the Flowers", as well as variety shows such as "Family Size" and "What is Your Story?".

Pablo Ghiglione, Head of Co-productions and International Sales explained the importance of the company's presence at the event: "Being at the LA Screenings with such a diversified slate reinforces our positioning to deliver stories that connect with audiences around the world. 'Anti-Kidnapping Unit' is a great example of the strength of our Globoplay Originals. The new season takes the series' action to another level and has strong potential to engage international viewers, just as it has in Brazil. In addition to our telenovelas, which are already known for their quality throughout Latin America, we’re also offering adaptable formats for local productions;" commented.
