Happy Accidents unveils its new slate of nine mystery film titles for MIPCOM 2024, headlined by Ainsley McGregor Mysteries franchise produced by Syrup Studios in association with Candy Rock Entertainment. Candace Cameron Bure ("Full House") and Aaron Ashmore ("Ginny & Georgia") are the main actors. Based on Candace Haven's bestselling novels, the franchise blends small-town charm with gripping mystery, leveraging the star power of its lead actors to captivate audiences worldwide.

The first film in the series, "A Case for the Winemaker", is slated to premiere on Great American Family and Bell on October 4th in the US and Canada. Fan-favorite Candace Cameron Bure is bringing her signature charm and depth to the role of Ainsley McGregor, a former criminologist-turned-professor with a knack for solving murders in the small town of Sweet River, Texas. Joining Bure is Aaron Ashmore, the town’s fire chief and potential love interest, as well as Robin Dunne (Sanctuary) as her brother, the town sheriff – both key partners in solving these local crimes. Rounding out the franchise, "A Case for the Yarn Maker" and "A Case for the Watchmaker" are slated to premiere in 2025.

Happy Accidents has also picked up distribution rights for the latest films in the popular Hannah Swensen Mystery film series (Hallmark), with four new films, including "One Bad Apple" (premiered 5th April 2024) and "A Sprinkle of Deceit" (premiere 15th October 2024) with two more which will be complete early 2025. Alison Sweeney ("Days of Our Lives") stars as Hannah Swensen, a small-town baker with a knack for solving crimes alongside Victor Webster ("Continuum") as Detective Mike Kingston. Based on Joanne Fluke's bestselling novels, the films blend cozy mystery, romance, and small-town charm.

Happy Accidents has secured a brand-new three-film franchise set to debut on Hallmark in 2025. This groundbreaking film series will focus on environmental intrigue, high-stakes crimes, and ordinary heroes fighting to protect nature. Each film will present a mystery that ties into broader environmental themes, capturing the zeitgeist of the global eco-movement.
