Globo reinforces presence in Europe and attends to MIPTV

The company will present a catalog with various telenovelas, series and documentaries, such as "Never Give Up," "Rota 66: The Killer Unit" and "Flordelis: Doubt or Worship."

Globo has confirmed plans to attend this year's MIPTV in an effort to further strengthen its presence in Europe.  The company will bring telenovela titles like "Never Give Up" and ‘All the Flowers," as well as the series "Rota 66: The Killer Unit" and the second season of "We Are Five" and documentaries like "Flordelis: Doubt or Worship" and "On Behalf of God."

"We want to strength our presence more and more our presence in the region, it is a strategic territory for Globo, and that’s why we are bringing our products that show our versatility," Fabio Mauro, Sales Manager at Globo said. "Be it in genre, or in format, we have a diverse portfolio with products that engage and converse with different audiences. Our presence in this event shows that we are open to new partnerships and business models, so that we can take our stories further."

Following Berlinale, in March, and Series Mania in April,  the company will bring "Never Give Up" to the European market. Currently on air in Brazil, the production is a contemporary story, full of romance, humor and with a message of hope and faith in life and it is written by Rosane Svartman. Another highlight is the Globoplay Original "All the Flowers,"  written by João Emanuel Carneiro, author of "Brazil Avenue." Created and developed directly for streaming, the project is a modern fairy tale, a contemporary thriller combined with a love story, vengeance and redemption.

In the true crime sector, Globo will bring "Flordelis: Doubt or Worship" about the congresswoman investigated for killing her husband, and "On Behalf of God," which follows the story of Medium João de Deus, since his childhood in the countryside of Goiás, until his conviction for sexual crimes. Globo's series catalog consists of the second season of "We Are Five," which follows the life of five friends and discusses themes likes social inequity, racism, sexuality and religion, "Rota 66: The Killer Unit," based on one of the most rigorous and extensive works of investigation and journalism.
