ARTE Distribution just signed a deal to acquire Jacques Mitsch’s new documentary "When Animals Grieve" (52’) for its Nature & Discovery collection. This O2B Films production will be part of ARTE's catalog in MIPTV.

Thanks to interviews with scientists from different areas of expertise, this new one-off tries to understand how animals react and feel when faced with the death of one of their own. After "The Blob: A Genius Without A Brain" (52’), and "The Butterfly Effect" (48’), multi-award-winning director, returns with this new Nature & Discovery documentary.

Joséphine Letang, Head of Sales at ARTE Distribution, stated "We are very happy to present a brand-new groundbreaking documentary to buyers. This is a new opportunity for us to bring the best of high-profile documentaries and continue strong collaborating with O2B Films and Jacques Mitsch's work we already know and love."
