At the beginning of April last year, MIPTV was the first major market in the audiovisual industry to be canceled due to the pandemic. At the same time, it was the first one to adapt to the virtual modality, and now, from April 12 to 16, it will celebrate its second online edition, this year renamed Digital MIPTV.

The Digital MIPTV platform allows participants to access industry insights, learn from TV industry leaders, join the community and schedule meeting with peers. Attendees can also connect with top industry leaders including buyers, commissioners, sellers and producers in order to achieve their business objectives.

Furthermore, Digital MIPTV will connect the MIPDoc and MIPFormats communities for the first time online via Reed Midem’s signature one-to-one matchmaking platform with two unique offers guaranteeing delegates pre-scheduled meeting agendas, with a minimum of 15-20 meetings, to boost distribution, acquisitions, coproduction and development of documentaries, factual series, and international formats.

Highlights of the Digital MIPTV programme will include exclusive market insights for all genres including the popular Fresh TV, Glance, high profile keynotes, MIPDrama buyers screenings and the MIP SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Award. Among the high profile keynotes, MIPTV announced global superstar Marc Anthony, renowned singer, songwriter, record executive, television producer, actor and philanthropist, will have his own panel, as well as global sporting icon, football club owner, entrepreneur and founder of production company Studio 99, David Beckham.

ABC, SBS Television, Seven Network, Globo, CBC, Quebecor Content, iQiyi, Bilibili, Tencent, YLE, Arte France, France Télévisions, Groupe Canal+, M6, TF1, ZDF, RTL Television, RAI, R.T.I.
