The new structure of TV France International, which has become UniFrance, is working with the support of PublicisLive on the latest edition of Le Rendez-Vous Bi@rritz which will be held on-line from September 6 to 8, on the event’s dedicated platform: lerendezvous.tv

Just like the 2020 edition the virtual format, on account of the health situation, will give members of the association a chance to present international buyers some of their latest flagship programs during an actual TV show and give video pitches for their programs in early development.

This edition of Rendez-Vous Bi@rritz will include 14 Super Highlights, as opposed to 9 in 2020, and the 16 project pitches (15 in 2020) that are divided between fiction on Monday 6, documentaries on Tuesday 7 and animation on Wednesday 8 September, each one followed by a question-and-answer session between buyers, commissioning editors and distributors. These will remain accessible on the platform on replay until 30 September 2021.

“An enriched program, remarkable content diversity and a new set to welcome our members and guests for the filming of this 27th edition of Le Rendez-Vous Biarritz”, said Hervé Michel, vice-president of UniFrance, and Sarah Hemar, former executive director of TV France continuing this role within the new UniFrance structure. “Circumstances once again mean that we have to hold our flagship event a long way from Biarritz, our home port, but the high level of engagement that everyone has once again shown is very heartwarming. 60 member companies, which have deposited 520 programs in the event’s screening room in Screenopsis, and more than 220 buyers from 55 countries have so far signed up”, they added.
