Hervé Michel, Vice President of Unifrance, and Sarah Hemar, Director of Audiovisual, announced the 19th Unifrance TV Export Awards, the event that singles out the international appeal of French audiovisual creation in the fields of animation, documentary, and fiction. This year, once again, they highlight the professionalism and expertise of French distribution companies.

The Unifrance TV Export Award in Animation was for Xilam Animation for "Where's Chicky?" – Season 2 (104x1'). Chicky is an adorable, irresistible little chick who finds a new place and an unknown object in each of his adventures. The other nominees were "Anna & Friends" (78x7') from Superights; and "Hello Kitty : Super Style!" (52x11') from Kids First Distribution.

In the Documentary category, the winner was CALT Distribution for "Legacy" (90') Ten years after Home, Yann Arthus-Bertrand returns with Legacy, a powerful cry from the heart. He shares a sensitive and radical vision of our world, which he has seen deteriorate over the course of a generation, and reveals a suffering planet, a disoriented humanity incapable of taking seriously the threat that weighs upon it and on all living beings. The other nominees were "Vikings: The Lost Kingdom" (52’ and 90’) from ZED and "Wagner, Putin's Shadow Army" ( 52') from Newen Connect.

In Fiction, "Women at War" (8x52') from Newen Connect won. The other nominees were "About Sasha" (10x22') by France tv distribution and "The Rope" (3x52') from Wild Bunch TV.

The winners of each category of the Unifrance TV Export Awards are then determined by the vote of international buyers invited to the Unifrance Rendez-vous in Biarritz 2022, the list of which has been determined in collaboration with the SEDPA.
